$100 Million Investment: Even More Parts For Even More Cars
$100 Million Investment in EVEN MORE PARTS FOR EVEN MORE CARS
Repco has again dramatically changed the landscape of the Australian automotive parts industry.
In 2011, Repco announced a $50million investment. This year, Repco is again committing a further $50million, expanding the company's comprehensive parts portfolio, in what is the equivalent to the opening of 180 new stores!
This will be good news to mechanics, as the expansion has seen over one million additional parts added to the shelves of the 295 Repco stores nationwide, significantly increasing the permanent stock available on hand in all outlets.
Repco's focus is on expanding its parts offering to include even more makes, while bolstering its range of key products such as filters, brakes and suspension, as well as focussing on specialities such as diesel powered vehicles and European marques.
"Australia has a diverse and complex car parc with local, Asian, European and American made cars all finding a niche in the marketplace. Repco's goal is to have all parts for all cars. This whopping $100million investment is a step in that direction and has never been done before in the history of auto parts," said Gary Dunwell, Executive General Manager of Repco Australia & Strategic Marketing and Merchandise Australia and New Zealand.
"Our $100 million investment reinforces our position as the number one in auto parts as we continue to set high standards of customer service for the industry better than anyone else."
"By being the one-stop-shop for all workshop requirements, our investment in auto parts will contribute to the operational efficiency and productivity of our customers, thereby leading to greater customer satisfaction.
The increased number of Euro Parts has differentiated Repco from the competition, giving customers the competitive edge when it comes to servicing the growing number of European marques on our roads.
"Our workshop has a lot of European cars coming in and finding specialist, suitable and OE replacement parts in a reasonable time frame has in the past proven difficult. Repco's recent expansion has meant we can tell our customers with confidence that we can get the correct brake pad and spark plug because we know that Repco will have what we are looking for." Said Andrew Temby from Temby Auto Service.
A significant investment in excess of $15 million over the last three years in braking products has seen Repco build the most comprehensive range of disc pads and rotors, all sourced from the World's leading manufacturers. Repco does have even more choice with even more brands.
"With over 2000 brake pads and rotor discs available across a variety of price points, we take comfort in knowing that Repco can provide us with what we need, when we need it, whether it be for an Australian made Commodore or Falcon, or a Japanese branded 4WD." Said Steve Humphries from Power Road Automotive.
All categories have seen growth in the number of product lines available, with emphasis being placed on filters, brake disc pads & rotors, steering and suspension, drivetrain components, cooling, engine management, as well as service and repair parts.
"Our customers, old and new can confidently do business, knowing that Repco provides them with the greatest range of parts and products in the Country. We can offer them what no one else can, Repco now have it all and there is no reason why they shouldn't buy from us," said Jason Forssman, Business Development Manager, Repco Australia.
